MOPs launched at St Peters in September 2014, as a completely new venture that none of us had any previous experience of. The aim of MOPs is to provide a safe place for mums to support each other, be taught practical skills and given resources. It’s a mixture of cake, crafts and teaching. It’s based purely on relationships.
Don’t take our word for it! Here’s what some of the mums have to say:
I love going to MOPs. It’s nice to sit down and only worry about whether to have cakes or not! It helps me when I have bad days by giving me chance to recharge! I love the crafts and the chance to talk to other mums!
MOPs is a great break, the discussions make me think and the crafts are fab. Still very impressed with the peg fridge magnets and am using my menu planner! It’s a good opportunity for my youngest to get used to being looked after by other people too otherwise he’s always with me or my husband.
MOP’s is my fortnight saviour. It’s the only break I ever get from my very active sons. To have someone make me a cup of tea that I can sit and drink and have an adult conversation with is such a luxury. The boys have lots of fun while I get to relax. My favourite group ever that needs to be on more often.
Peaceful, recharging, empowering, me time!
Moppets is the children’s programme that runs alongside MOP’s it enables the mums to have quality time while knowing that their children are having fun elsewhere. There is one leader to every two children so your children are well looked after.
